Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has defended the concept of production-linked subsidies, citing the CORAN and US energy policy as models. He argues that targeted support for domestic production is necessary to ease cost-of-living pressures on Nigerians. His remarks were made through his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu.
