The Federal Government has opened applications for the second cohort of the Student Venture Capital Grant, offering up to ₦50 million in equity-free funding to 50 student-led ventures. The initiative, led by the Minister of Education, aims to help young Nigerians turn innovative ideas into businesses under the Renewed Hope Agenda. National Project Coordinator Adebayo Onigbanjo announced a campus mobilisation campaign from September 6 to 30, 2026, targeting nine tertiary institutions across the six geopolitical zones. The programme focuses on student innovators in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine, with applications undergoing AI-assisted screening.
