Customs rakes in N4.03trn in H1

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) generated N4.03 trillion in the first half of 2026, with an additional N1.38 trillion collected in July and August, positioning the agency to meet its N11 trillion annual revenue target. Finance Minister Taiwo Oyedele disclosed these figures during his inaugural board meeting at Customs Headquarters in Abuja, commending the NCS for its technology investments and trade facilitation reforms. The performance is attributed to aggressive automation and intelligence-led reforms under Comptroller-General Adewale Adeniyi.
