The Nigeria Police Force is seeking to unlock multi-billion-naira mortgage financing and private-sector capital to accelerate affordable housing for its personnel. Inspector General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu said the Force would leverage funds from the Police Mortgage and Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), alongside private developers. Disu made the remarks during an inspection of police barracks and housing projects in Lagos, noting that the model would reduce reliance on direct government funding.
