Oye to Tinubu: Economic growth must tackle hunger, joblessness

Dele Oye, Chairman of the Alliance for Economic Research and Ethics, has acknowledged that reforms by the Bola Tinubu administration have improved Nigeria's macroeconomic stability and resilience. However, he urged the government to take further steps to translate these gains into lower food prices, productive jobs, and improved living standards for Nigerians. Oye praised the administration for taking politically difficult decisions, including petrol subsidy removal and foreign exchange reforms, but stressed that macroeconomic stability alone is insufficient.
