FMDA: Banks Set for N15.72tn Liquidity Inflow in September on Maturing OMO

Nigeria's banking system is expected to receive N15.72 trillion in inflows during September, according to the Financial Markets Dealers Association (FMDA). This figure is 16.1 percent higher than the estimated N13.54 trillion inflow in August, following a 56.17 percent jump in system liquidity to N4.65 trillion last month. The FMDA report indicates that OMO maturities will contribute the largest share, accounting for about 74 percent of expected inflows at N11.60 trillion. Treasury bills maturities are expected to add N1.255 trillion, while FGN bond coupons will contribute N285.6 billion, with FAAC allocations estimated at N2.5 trillion.
