Stakeholders in the sustainability profession have called for context-driven practice and stronger professional standards among organizations. The call was made during the inaugural sustainability conference organized by the Sustainability Professionals Institute of Nigeria (SPIN) in Lagos. The hybrid event brought together sustainability professionals, business leaders, policymakers, investors, and other stakeholders to discuss how organizations can adapt and create long-term value amid uncertainty. The conference, themed 'The Adaptive Enterprise: Sustainability Strategies for Challenging Times', explored the need for organizations to move beyond reporting and compliance towards integrating sustainability into strategy, governance, and risk management.
