The Nigeria Education Repository and Databank (NERD) has surpassed 400,000 digitised academic submissions, while its National Credential Verification Service (NCVS) has processed over 115,000 academic credentials. The platform has enrolled 907 tertiary institutions, with 629 currently active, indicating growing adoption as the government seeks to create a central digital ecosystem for academic research and credentials. As of September 2026, more than 410,000 theses, dissertations, student projects, and other academic works had been submitted, with undergraduate research accounting for the majority. Female students have submitted 228,347 works, exceeding the 181,536 submissions from male students.
