The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a convicted cocaine trafficker, Dunu Ebubechukwu, 34, in Lagos for allegedly returning to the drug trade after serving a five-year prison sentence. The arrest followed a sting operation at Article Market, opposite Trade Fair Market, Ojo, after investigators traced him to a cocaine shipment intercepted weeks earlier. The case began on July 31 when NDLEA operatives intercepted 1.2 kilogrammes of cocaine hidden inside phone chargers at a courier company, destined for Riyadh. The agency said the arrest exposes how narcotics syndicates use legitimate businesses and false identities to conceal their operations.
