Bauchi senator pushes back over alleged link with bandits

Senator Shehu Buba, representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, has dismissed allegations linking him to bandit kingpins. The allegations were made by a resident named 'Hassan' in a viral video, claiming that Buba's aide facilitated training for individuals linked to bandit leader Dogo Gide. Buba, who is also the PRP governorship candidate in Bauchi State, has faced previous accusations. In September 2024, Governor Bala Mohammed alleged that Buba's aide registered and funded a suspected bandit for the Hajj pilgrimage.
