Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), had stated that Nigerians would no longer tolerate attempts to undermine their votes and that their votes must be counted. Speaking on Channels Television's 'Morning Brief', Umeh argued that Obi's comment was neither extreme nor inciting, reflecting the expectations of Nigerian voters ahead of the 2027 elections.
