The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has reported that the adoption of the T+1 settlement cycle in Nigeria's capital market is proceeding smoothly. The development has enhanced competitiveness and provided relief to market participants. Director of Registration, Exchanges and Market Infrastructure, Mrs. Hafsat Rufai, disclosed this during a media chat in Abuja. She noted that both local and international investors have expressed satisfaction with the new settlement cycle, with feedback described as excellent. Initial concerns about cash availability and time zone differences have been addressed.
