The manufacturing sector contributed N4.128 trillion to Nigeria's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the second quarter of 2026, marking a 3.3% year-on-year increase from N3.998 trillion in Q2 2025. However, the sector's performance declined by 15.9% quarter-on-quarter from N4.906 trillion in Q1 2026, indicating persistent structural pressures. The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria's CEO Confidence Index rose to 52.1 points in Q2 2026 from 48.7 points in Q1, reflecting improved optimism among manufacturers.
