Man Group, a global asset manager with over $250 billion in assets, has merged its two quantitative units, AHL and Numeric, into a single $156 billion computer-run unit called Man Systematic. The decision was unanimous among management committees, according to Russell Korgaonkar, CIO of the new unit. The merger was driven by changes in AI and the competitive landscape for quant talent.
