UNGA: Tinubu, family enjoy unimpeded US transit — Jimoh Ibrahim

Nigeria's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Jimoh Ibrahim, has stated that President Bola Tinubu and his family enjoy unimpeded transit in the United States and cannot be arrested while attending the UN General Assembly. Ibrahim cited Section 11 of the 1947 UN-U.S. Agreement, which protects representatives of member states from restrictions on movement to and from UN headquarters. He confirmed that the Nigerian Mission has received no notification of any restrictions on President Tinubu.
