Nigerian tech founder Benjamin Akindote has launched Eego, an e-commerce platform and creative hub designed to support freelancers, event planners, entrepreneurs, and side hustlers across Nigeria and Africa. Akindote noted that while Nigeria has a large number of internet users and social media identities, there is a lack of infrastructure to help creators turn their creativity into sustainable businesses. Despite the growing audience, only a small percentage of Nigerian creators earn significant income, highlighting the need for platforms like Eego.
