The South-east geopolitical zone has recorded the lowest number of beneficiaries under the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) compared to the other five regions of the country. Nationwide, 319 institutions and 1.8 million students have benefited from the fund. The Northwest has the highest number of individual student beneficiaries, while the Southwest ranks third.
