Ghana's Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, assured evacuees from South Africa that the government will continue to provide reintegration support. He spoke on Friday, September 4, 2026, when the final batch of 41 evacuees arrived at Accra International Airport. The evacuation exercise brought the total number of Ghanaians evacuated since May 2026 to nearly 1,900. Each evacuee received financial support, transportation allowance, medical care, psychosocial support, free health insurance registration, and employment assistance.
