Miyetti Allah raises alarm over rising meat imports

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria has expressed concern over the increasing importation of meat into the country. The association attributed this trend to several challenges facing local livestock farmers, including rising feed and transportation costs, insecurity, shrinking grazing resources, inadequate infrastructure, limited access to affordable finance, and climate change. These factors have made local meat production less competitive.
