The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused the Tinubu administration of turning its social intervention programme into a racket. This follows an Auditor-General's report that N33.75 billion in cash transfers to 3.29 million households could not be matched to verified beneficiaries. The ADC's National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, stated that the government is stealing from the poor. The party also noted that the government announced a fresh $1 billion social protection programme despite unresolved questions over previous interventions.
