The Lagos State Government has advised motorists to plan their journeys ahead as repair works on damaged expansion joints at Kara Bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway are set to begin on Tuesday. Commissioner for Transportation Oluwaseun Osiyemi announced that the Federal Ministry of Works will carry out the rehabilitation, closing one half of the affected section at a time to reduce traffic impact. Motorists will share the remaining open half interchangeably during the repair period. The commissioner appealed for patience and cooperation with traffic managers deployed to the area.
