The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Benue State, Chief Michael Aondoakaa, has expressed confidence that the incumbent governor will lose the 2027 governorship election. Speaking to journalists in Makurdi, Aondoakaa argued that the law only guarantees a governor an initial four-year term, and the people decide whether to renew the mandate. He dismissed the notion that no sitting governor has lost re-election in Benue, attributing his confidence to the incumbent administration's poor accessibility.
