Nigeria records 101% trade surplus in Q2

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has reported that Nigeria recorded a trade surplus of N12.59 trillion in the second quarter of 2026, a 101.32% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Total merchandise trade stood at N41.44 trillion, with exports accounting for 65.20% of total trade. The surplus reflects a significant improvement in the country's trade balance.
