The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced plans to deploy a real-time operational tracker to monitor election preparations across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory ahead of the 2027 General Election. INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, disclosed this while declaring open a two-day Strategic Operational meeting. The tracker is expected to enhance the commission's ability to oversee election readiness nationwide.
