China's Qinwen Zheng staged another remarkable comeback at the US Open, recovering from 5-0 down to defeat former champion Iga Swiatek 7-5, 6-3 and reach the quarter-finals. Zheng had also overturned a 5-0 deficit in her previous match against Madison Keys. The 23-year-old, who came through three qualifying rounds, won seven of the next eight games to take the opening set. She then broke Swiatek twice in the second set to complete the victory, reaching the US Open quarter-finals for the third time.
