Diphtheria: Plateau makes face masks compulsory on metro buses

The Plateau State Government has made face masks compulsory for passengers using TinCity Metro buses as part of measures to contain the spread of diphtheria. The 'No Face Mask, No Entry' policy was announced by the management of Plateau Express Services Group and takes effect from Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Passengers without face masks will not be allowed to board the buses. A limited number of masks have been made available at designated boarding points to support commuters.
