The Federal High Court in Lagos has nullified an alleged attempt to take over a 30-year-old property company through disputed corporate filings with the Corporate Affairs Commission. Justice Dehinde Dipeolu declared illegal a purported December 5, 2014 meeting of Oyetubo Jokotade Estate Resources Ltd, finding that individuals who were not shareholders or directors had allotted themselves shares and assumed directorship. The court ruled that the meeting was invalid as those who convened it lacked legal standing.
