Indigenous ride-hailing companies are positioning for a larger market share following Uber's exit from Nigeria. Alero Fregene, Country Head of SimpliRide Nigeria, said local operators now have an opportunity to compete on pricing, driver earnings, reliability, safety, and customer experience. Uber's departure is expected to redistribute drivers and passengers among existing operators, giving indigenous tech companies a chance to expand. The development comes amid ongoing changes in the mobility market.
