Sokoto State has become a new hotspot for banditry, with recent attacks in six local government areas leaving at least 15 residents dead and about 79 abducted. The attacks occurred in Rabah, Isa, and Dange Shuni LGAs, following similar incidents in other parts of the state. Residents report that bandits invaded communities at night, opening fire and abducting locals, raising concerns about the spread of insecurity.
