The All Progressives Congress (APC) legal team in Osun State has disowned a petition filed on behalf of the party challenging the victory of Governor Ademola Adeleke in the recent governorship election. The petition, numbered EPT/Os/Gov/01/2026, was filed by the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, and the APC, with Adeleke, the Accord Party, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as respondents. The tribunal secretary, Belemo Diete-Spiff, signed notices of the petition, which were displayed on the tribunal's notice board in Osogbo. A second petition, numbered EPT/Os/Gov/02/2026, was filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against INEC, the Accord Party, and Adeleke.
