The African Regional Organisation of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC-Africa) has stated that Africa cannot achieve meaningful industrialization through privatized electricity. The organization challenges the World Bank and African Development Bank's Mission 300 strategy, advocating for public control of power. ITUC-Africa General Secretary Akhator Joel Odigie made these remarks during a press briefing.
