The Nigeria Police Force has uncovered a child-stealing and human trafficking syndicate operating across Oyo, Ogun, and Delta states, leading to the rescue of 17 children and the arrest of seven suspects. The breakthrough followed an intelligence-led investigation into the disappearance of a three-year-old child during a masquerade festival in Oyo town. Police detectives arrested Adejoke Popoola, who allegedly confessed to involvement in the stealing and sale of children. Further investigations led to the arrest of another suspect, Adekanbi Janet.
