The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has disowned a truck bearing its markings that was intercepted by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) with 2,145 kilogrammes of cannabis in Ondo State. In a statement by its Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Andy Odeh, the company said preliminary checks showed the vehicle with registration number MKA 960 XC was not owned by it nor part of its official fleet or that of any authorised dealers. NNPCL commended the NDLEA for its vigilance and noted that the logo on the vehicle was inconsistent with its current official branding and the truck was not listed in its asset database.
