The Federal Government has announced plans to transform the National Library of Nigeria into a world-class facility similar to the National Library of Qatar. Minister of Education Dr. Tunji Alausa made this known during a meeting with stakeholders in Abuja, directing them to adhere to delivery timelines and quality standards. The project aims to create a modern institution supporting learning, research, and human capital development. The vision was influenced by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu's visit to Qatar's library, after which Nigerian officials were tasked with adopting relevant modern features.
