A 54-year-old Customs officer, Mr. Etteng Ise, has died in a lone motor accident along the Ikom-Calabar Highway in Cross River State. The incident occurred near Alesi Village in Ikom Local Government Area at about 2:56 p.m. on Monday. According to the police, Ise lost control of his vehicle while avoiding a pothole, causing it to veer off the road and collide with a tree. He was rushed to Holy Family Hospital, Ikom, where he was pronounced dead, and his remains have been deposited at the hospital mortuary.
