The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has dismissed reports of irregularities in its candidate selection and financing ahead of the 2027 general elections. The party stated that donations, levies, and contributions from members are lawful and provided for in its constitution. The NDC denied that its national chairman, Dickson, demanded or received money from aspirants, and insisted that no illegal payments or favouritism occurred.
