Nigeria and Russia will face off in an international friendly at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium on October 6, 2026, as confirmed by Nigeria's FIFA Match Agent. This will be their second meeting in 16 months, following a 1-1 draw in Moscow in June 2025. Nigeria recently retained the Afro-Caribbean Unity Cup and played credible matches against Poland and Portugal. The stadium has a capacity of 44,000 and hosted matches during the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
