The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State has responded to Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike's claim that the party's vice presidential candidate, Rotimi Amaechi, will be defeated by noon on election day. The ADC stated that only the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has the authority to announce election results, not Wike. The party also asserted that no politician can win the 2027 elections by deceiving the masses with false promises. Wike made the boast during a civic reception in Omagwa, Ikwerre Local Government Area.
