George Kamurasi, a 36-year-old goalkeeper who plays for SE Dons in the ninth tier of English football, has been selected as the next king of the Tooro people in Uganda. He was chosen by a committee to succeed his late cousin, King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, who died of cancer at age 34. Kamurasi, known as 'Big G', is a British national and captains his club in the Southern Counties East League Premier Division. Despite his selection, he is reportedly reluctant to leave London, where he lives with his wife and son, to take up the royal position.
