KDSG Harps On Synergy Between Boards And Management

The Kaduna State Government has advised governing boards to focus on policy direction and oversight rather than interfering in the day-to-day administration of their institutions. The Secretary to the State Government, Dr AbdulKadir Mu'azu Meyere, gave this advice during the inauguration of the governing boards of four agencies, including the Kaduna State Schools Quality Assurance Authority and the Kaduna State Media Corporation. He emphasized that a clear understanding of this distinction would ensure a harmonious and productive tenure. He also urged the boards to adhere to due process, the Public Procurement Act, and other financial regulations, and to maintain high standards of prudence and accountability.
