The commission's enforcement and prosecution efforts have strengthened federal and sub-national revenue, returned working capital to institutions, companies, and citizens, and supported financial-market integrity. Additionally, the EFCC has protected the extractive and digital economies and denied corrupt individuals the enjoyment of proceeds from unlawful activities, thereby burnishing Nigeria's international image.
