The Jigawa State Executive Council has approved a review of the 2026 Appropriation Law, increasing the state's total budget by N46.369 billion. The adjustment raises the originally approved budget from N901.841 billion to N948.210 billion. Commissioner of Information Sagir Ahmad Musa announced this on Tuesday, stating the review was necessitated by prevailing revenue realities, changes in capital revenue sources, and emerging expenditure priorities. The revised budget also provides for new critical expenditure priorities for socio-economic development.
