The coastal community of Ayetoro in Ondo State has been severely impacted by coastal erosion and neglect. According to reports, about 80 per cent of the buildings in Ayetoro have been lost, and approximately 96 per cent of valuable homes are gone. The community has faced submergence and has been described as defrauded and betrayed, highlighting the challenges of environmental degradation and lack of intervention.
