The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Professor Folasade Ogunsola, has advised Nigerian universities to adapt to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) rather than attempting to prevent its use. She warned that excessive dependence on AI could undermine the fundamental purpose of education by allowing students to complete academic tasks without acquiring the required knowledge. The VC emphasized the need for institutions to integrate AI responsibly into teaching and learning processes.
