Nigeria and Canada have agreed to establish a joint technical working group to address delays in processing Canadian visa applications for Nigerians and to develop a framework for the removal of individuals without legal status in Canada. The decision was made during a meeting between the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, and the Chargé d'Affaires of the Canadian High Commission, David Sproule. The discussions also covered opportunities under the Nigeria-Canada Air Transport Agreement.
