A newborn baby who was stolen from a residence in Sabon Gari New Extension, Kaduna South Local Government Area, has been recovered in the Unguwar Ma'azu area. The baby's mother, Amina, reported that she was alerted on Monday evening about a woman in the area claiming to have recently given birth, but residents grew suspicious when the baby was seen crying and the woman could not breastfeed him. Amina said her elder sister's daughter rushed to her house around Maghrib prayer to ask her to identify the baby. Upon arriving at the house, Amina recognized the woman as the same person who had taken her baby, and residents restrained her from confronting the woman. The suspect has been arrested, and the baby has been reunited with the mother.
