Prominent Nigerian academics have stated that universities must urgently adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI) while establishing strong regulations to prevent its misuse. This position was expressed at the opening of the 8th Lagos State University (LASU) Research and Innovation Fair, themed 'Accelerating National Development Through Artificial Intelligence-Driven'. The academics warned that failure to embrace AI responsibly could leave Nigeria behind in global development.
