The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) reported over 5,000 fibre-optic cuts in six months, which telecom operators attribute to vandalism and power issues. Entrepreneurs such as online sellers, ride-hailing drivers, and POS operators are particularly affected, as their livelihoods depend on reliable internet connections.
