The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) intercepted 47,200 tablets of Captagon concealed in locally made bathing soap at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on August 22. The consignment originated from Accra, Ghana, and was intended for northern Nigeria, according to the suspect arrested. In separate operations, over 3.9 million tablets of Tramaking and Tapentadol were also recovered, with a combined value exceeding ₦6.2 billion. The seizure highlights concerns about the trafficking of synthetic drugs in the region.
