Jamilu Abubakar, a 30-year-old man, is among five people who sustained bullet wounds during an attack by suspected bandits on Girkau community in Kebbe Local Government Area of Sokoto State. He is currently receiving treatment at Usman Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH) but cannot afford the N190,000 required for an MRI and CT scan prescribed by doctors. Abubakar, who was shot in the back while returning from his farmland, has lost sensation from his chest down to his lower limbs. His father is physically challenged and begs to support the family, making it difficult to raise the needed funds.
